Ian Ogilvie--as mystery writer Charles Condomine--outshines Rex Harrison's performance in the David Lean film. Other cast members--including Rosalind Ayres and Judy Geeson as Condomine's two wives--are equally wonderful. Shirley Knight is lively in her over-the-top performance reprising Margaret Rutherford's role as Madame Arcati. Tasteful music and special effects embellish the atmosphere.
